Public Speaker

For almost two decades, my professional life has been defined by the Suffolk landscape. As the owner of a holiday cottage business, my mission has always been to provide more than just a bed; I wanted to give people a reason to stay. With over 1,000 blog posts dedicated to our local heritage, I have always known that the true value of a place lies in its stories.

The Creative Pivot: From Strings to Stories
For most of my life, my creative outlet was music. I spent years in bands, writing and performing, until osteoarthritis in my hands eventually meant I had to put down the guitar. I didn’t just lose a hobby; I lost my “studio”—the technical, methodical process of taking a raw idea and crafting it into a finished piece of art. That’s what I called it anyway.

Eventually, I found a new studio. By documenting the history, folklore and ghostly tales of both Suffolk and Tuscany, I realised I was “songwriting” again, just without the strings. What began as a way to boost the profile of my business through video, evolved into a creative revival that has resonated with hundreds of thousands of viewers.

Speaking & Consulting
The stories I tell from the legend of the Black Shuck in the East Anglian marshes to the ancient whispers of the Tuscan hills, have struck a chord far beyond the front doors of my holiday cottages. I now work with history clubs, radio stations, authors and others to bring these legends to life and explore the history that defines these two unique regions.

I believe that whether you are a business looking to build genuine trust or a history enthusiast seeking the soul of a landscape, the answer is found in stories that resonate with real people. Both Suffolk and Tuscany are lands of stories, and I am simply glad I found a way to tell them.

I’m open to chatting with anyone about a way to utilise what I do if it can touch people in a positive way.
